Beginning Jan 1, 2014 New Requirements for California Garment Manufacturers

Effective January 1, 2014, AB 1384 adds section 2676.55 to the Labor Code and requires garment manufacturers to display his/her/their name, address, and garment manufacturing registration number on the front entrance of the business. If a garment manufacturer fails to comply with the new regulation, the garment manufactured may be fined a civil penalty of $100 for an initial violation and $200 for each subsequent violation for each calendar day that the business engages [...]

California Employers Must Allow Their Employees to be Good Samaritans

Effective January 1, 2014, AB 633 prohibits a California employer from prohibiting an employee from providing voluntary emergency medical services, including CPR, in response to a medical emergency unless the person in need of medical attention has expressed the desire to forgo resuscitation or other medical interventions through legally recognized means.

Jan 1, 2014 – California Car Washes Required Bond Increases from $15,000 to $150,000
